September 2019, my family and I decided to work solely for the Lord. We asked God what it is that we could do for Him with the talents that He gave to us, and we were led, through many adventures, to Washington state where we met another family that wanted to do something more for the Lord, too. They shared with us the story about William W. Simpson and all the things God was able to accomplish through him, with the artwork that he had created. We all immediately started praying about it and God opened the doors for us to start building the fourth beast of Daniel chapter 7 sometime in November 2019, and we finished building it in February 2020.
About two weeks after we finished the beast, we received a phone call from a friend telling us about a mission project in Arizona that they needed help with at the time. He asked if we would be able to donate some of our time to help build much needed staff housing. We prayed about it, and we decided to head that way. Since that initial voyage, the Lord has led us through many different states, tens of thousands of miles and many miraculous situations. We have had the blessing of being able to meet thousands of people, and we’ve heard the many, many amazing testimonies of God’s goodness and mercy to others, as well as being able to share our own testimonies too.
I would be like to tell you that things have been smooth sailing from there, but that would be far from the truth. We praise God for the trials through which we can grow though. The Lord is coming back very soon, and we must allow the trials to get us ready for the end. I am still waiting for the point when I can go through trials without kicking and screaming, but that’s beside the point. There are many hardships in this life, but God carries us through them all, if we allow Him to, and, in doing so, we are able to see His handy work. God’s love for us is beyond our imagination, and He wants to teach us, as well as use us, to finish this last day work.
We still travel around in order to spread the joy of knowing the Lord. We are also building more of these educational/witnessing tools for others as well. These images work well in order to draw people’s attention to the Word of the Lord. It’s not very easy to blend in while pulling any of these images around. When you pull into any parking lot, gas station, campground, stop light, etc. people start to ask the valid question of, “What in the world is it?”, and we get to tell them about Jesus and His soon return.
I tried to hide one time {like Jonah did} with this behind us. We had been on the road for a long time, and we were all very tired. I told God how things were going to be, that I was tired and that we were going to take a few days off. Have you ever told God how things were going to be? It didn’t work for me. I believe that the Lord has such a good sense of humor though. I can just see Him chuckle and say, “Yeah, okay”. Anyhow, after I finished telling God how this was all going to work, we pulled into a campground in Northwest Montana, late at night, technically, it was early morning when we pulled in, but it was still dark. When we finally got the tent set up and the kids in bed, I “kindly” reminded God about our time off, and I fell asleep. The area that we were able to set up camp was in a very secluded part of the campground. There was only one road in and out, so there wouldn’t be anyone driving by to see the beast. To make sure though, I backed the trailer in as tight to the trees as I could so that no one would see it from the road, either. So, when the sun came up and I heard a very excited “ what in the world is this?”, I went outside, thinking that someone had drove into our site. But there wasn’t anyone outside. I walked over to where the beast was parked, and I found some semi-confused people staring at it and talking to each other trying to figure it out. After we talked with them awhile, I realized that, as I was telling God how we were going to take a break, I ended up backing the trailer right up close to the main hiking trail. As the people came around the tree on the corner of the trail, they came face to face with the beast. Needless to say, we ended up meeting a lot of people on that “time off”. It’s awesome to see God’s strength through our weakness. The more people we met, the more energized we became. God is so good! We no longer try to blend in anywhere we go.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
These images and symbols that God describes through His Word, in the books of Daniel and Revelation, all have significant meaning behind them, and they are relevant for us today in order to be watchful and ready for Jesus’ soon return. We must study for ourselves of the promises that the Lord has given us as well as the warning signs of the end so that we may be ready for that great day of the Lord. The world is in turmoil and God, through His mercy, has shown us through His Holy scriptures, of what’s to come and how to be right with God before His eminent return.
“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Habakkuk 2:2
